Teen Wolf Review – 117

Let’s all be real. We’ve all had one thing on our minds since the Season 4 premiere of Teen Wolf. Where the heck is Tyler Hoechlin?!

(That wink and smirk!!!)

Now there is no denying that Ian Nelson is adorable, but as a 7th Heaven fan, I was missing the original Derek. Luckily though, it seems that Tyler is back to reprise his role. However I must say, by the middle of this episode I was willing to give Ian a chance, when I thought Tyler wouldn’t be back for a while. Some of you may recognize him from The Hunger Games. Ian was a District 3 Tribute.  I mean, when he ( aka Miguel) started talking in Spanish to Scott’s dad after Stiles started a terrible lie, I was hooked and ready to see more of the young Derek.

In regards to other characters, there’s one character that never seems to fail us! Stiles, oh Stiles. He seriously has the best dialog on the show and Dylan O’Brien nails it every time!

But as for Kate, she can definitely leave. I can feel my heart starting to race faster ever time she enters on screen because I know something bad is going to happen. Hunter or Wolf or Jaguar or whatever she is, she still gets on my nerves. Can we talk about how graphic this show is right now? Kate is just ripping up bodies and killing people right and left! She was also trying to manipulate baby Derek. Who does she think she is kissing him?! I don’t think so! I mean I miss the Argent family, but when I say I miss them, I truly miss Allison and Mr. Argent!

There were quite a few reveals this episode as well! One being the Hale Vault. That sign just moved right out of place! Some things on this show are so genius, I just can’t figure out how Jeff Davis does it! Aka, JEFF MENTOR ME PLEASE! It’s brilliant!

While this episode definitely wasn’t one of the scariest episodes we’ve seen in the last year, the Berserkers were another reveal that will definitely give you the creeps… On a side note, I don’t know if you know this, but a lot of the creatures on Teen Wolf are based off of different mythologies. The Berserkers “were Norse warriors who are primarily reported in the Old Norse literature to have fought in a nearly uncontrollable,trance-like fury, a characteristic which later gave rise to the English word berserk. Berserkers are attested to in numerous Old Norse sources. Most historians believe that berserkers worked themselves into a rage before battle, but some think that they might have consumed drugged foods.” Whatever the case, it’s pretty clear that you don’t want to mess with them.

Now I will forever be a Scott and Allison fan. However I will admit that Kira is continuing to grow on me. I mean how can she not? Her sword skills are so impressive.

As for wardrobe – I continue to gush over Lydia’s clothes. Can I just have her wardrobe. Holland Roden always looks absolutely incredible and she is constantly rocking the top knot and looks fabulous.  But seriously, can I have it?

It’s pretty amazing how much Teen Wolf has changed over the last four years. Remember when you would freak out just because Alison and Scott were only holding hands or when you first saw the amazing interactions between Stiles and Scott. Arguably one of the best bromances on-air right now. This show is definitely much more badass than it was in Season 1.

Also can we discuss what happened at the very end! The Hall family had $117 MILLION in their vault! What the hell?! Why do that have that sort of money just chilling in a bank?! I’m a very curious to hear the story behind the money. I wonder what it will be! Did they steal it? Is it just in case the Hale family had to bribe someone? Who knows, I guess we will have to wait until next week to find out! But one thing is for sure, that was a VERY successful heist!
